Windows 10: Missing Files in Created File Folders

On my Windows 11 PC I have created a number of file folders such as taxes, landscaping, renovation, etc where I save documents that I have created or received over time. I must have over 50 such file folders and until recently they have each been populated with a butt load of saved documents. Yesterday, when looking for a specific document I opened a file folder only to find the "This Folder is Empty" message. I have been looking on this site and have taken some action. I opened the Folder Option in File Explorer and verified that "Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives" was checked.Mos

Batch Files Knowledge Base

Don't use batch files very much but one I find useful is for creating a list of files in a directory.
Just copy the text below into Notepad and save as Filelist.bat

dir /a /-p /o:gen >filelist.txt

When you run it from a folder it will create a Filelist.txt file,in the same folder, that lists all the files in that folder.Useful when you are too lazy to type all the files out yourself.
