    Missing files when unzipping a folder


    We have multiple users suffering from files missing from unzipped folders when downloaded.The zipped folder is saved to their local computer from an email.We unzip the folder and all the folders under the main folder are empty.I have them reboot their computer, then unzip the folder and the files show up.This is happening to multiple users and the only fix I know of is for them to reboot their computer.

    you might face such issues if the file is zipped.

    I suggest you to unzip the file and check.

    To do so follow the steps below.

    Open File Explorer and find the zipped folder.
    • To unzip the entire folder, right-click (or press and hold) it, select
      Extract All,       then follow the instructions.
    • To unzip a single file or folder, double-click the zipped folder to open it. Then, drag or copy the item from the zipped folder to a new location.

    unzip files in windows 10

    I see multiple questions about unzipping files in windows 10 with the same exact response about opening the folder via 'windows icon +E' which I can use to open a folder but I get no option for unzipping other than I need to download Winzip. Is this functionality
    not included in windows 10 as it has been previously? Please don't just post the same copy and paste response that didn't work for quite a few people based on comments from your site.
    The steps below DO NOT WORK for windows 10. I've been using previous versions of windows for years and while this used to work it doesn't in your new version.

    • Locate the zipped folder that you want to unzip (extract) files or folders from.
    • Do one of the following:
      • To unzip a single file or folder, open the zipped folder, then drag the file or folder from the zipped folder to a new location.
      • To unzip all the contents of the zipped folder, press and hold (or right-click) the folder, select Extract All, and then follow the instructions.

    How can I unzip multiple files inside some folder in Windows 10?

    Only option available is to extract a file at once and with a popup window suggesting a folder with file name.
