    I just upgraded my PC with many new parts, including two 2 1TB M.2 SSDs.

    This concerns a missing folder on a SATA drive from my previous system. That SATA drive is now connected to myupgraded PC, in order to copy things over to an M.2 SSD.

    In the first screenshot below, you can see I had folders for all family members. There is supposed to be one forME, labeled "1 - DAVIDs STUFF." As you can see, there is a folder "0 zero - General Docs", and a folder "2 - JANINEs STUFF." My folder is supposed to be visiblebetween the "0" and "2" folders.

    The second Screenshot shows the results of afile search for " *.doc" .... it brought up Word files for ALL users, and at the top is an example of a file ofMINE that the system found. It plainly shows it exists in a folder properly labeled"1 - DAVIDs STUFF." The folder is obviously there, but for some unknown reason, it is not showing with everyone else's in Windows Explorer.

    I did nothing previously to hide any files or folders, so I haveno idea why this folder is not showing when the SATA drive is connected to my updated system. Folders for everyone else, on thesame HDD, obviously are displayed.Why is only mine missing? Thanks in advance ...

    Transferring files to another folder. Speed issue.

    I run a 500GB WD Velociraptor as my C drive and I have a standard 7200rpm 500GB HDD as my storage (D drive). I'm only getting about 15mb/s right now transferring files/folders to another folder or transferring from C drive to D. Why is the WD HDD so slow? Am I missing something? *Confused Missing folder when attempting to transfer files from SATA drive to M.2 drive :confused:

    Adapter for M.2 Drive

    The adapter "steve108" listed is of the correct type.

    You need one that supports a SATA M.2 drive, and the B+M slots. M.2 - Wikipedia

    Hi,

    I just got a Gigabyte Z97-HD3P MB and I am confused by this statement - "SATA Express connector & M.2 slot can only be enabled one at a time".

    2 questions -

    • Can I use both a M.2 and SATA Express drive at the same time?
    • Can I use 2 Samsung 850 EVO 250GB (1 M.2 and 1 SATA Express) in RAID 0?
