Windows 10: Missing icons in taskbar, no other fixes have solved it

I've seen this question asked numerous times on here through multiple searches and I still cannot fix the problem.The computer is at 100% disk usage the moment it starts up, so I was trying to clean out the computer. I went to storage and cleared out a bunch of temporary files. I did that yesterday. Now the icons aren't showing up in the taskbar. First, they're empty and nothing is there, but then if I go to a program and tell it to pin to the taskbar, then suddenly all the items are in the taskbar, but they're invisible.I've seen plenty of options telling people to do a sfc /scannow and somet

System Icons on taskbar

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

Volume icon missing from Taskbar

As an initial step I would suggest you to install all the pending updates and restart your computer, check if it fixes the issue.



Make sure Volume button display is enabled in taskbar.

• Open settings window
• Click on personalization, on left pane select task bar.
• On right pane click on 'select what icons appear on the taskbar'.
• Toggle volume icon to make volume icon appear on task bar.
