Windows 10: Missing keyboard layout

I have several keyboard layouts since I'm trilingual and for a few months, one of my keyboard layouts French doesn't appear when I open my keyboard layout in the taskbar. To make it available again, I have to shuffle the order in my settings and eventually, it'll make it available again in my taskbar. Unfortunately, after a couple of hours, it will disappear again, upon switching to another keyboard layout or when I shut down and turn on my computer.I've tried to uninstall/install the French pack but the issue still persists, and I don't know what else I can do.I have the following languages

This suggests to me that you are using the wrong "keyboard language" for your keyboard, and that therefore you first step would be to determine exactly what language keyboard you have. Possibly have a look at Windows Keyboard Layouts - Globalization | Microsoft Docs.

(The age of any laptop capable of running Windows 10 at all should not be a problem as regards keyboard layout)

 

Croatian keyboard layout is missing in Win10 installation

This issue might have occurred due to incorrect settings. I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

  Type settings in the search bar and press enter
  
• 
  Click on time and language
  
• 
  Click region and language
  
• 
  Click on add a language and select the language “Croatian”
  
• 
  Now under languages you can find your language
  
• 
  Click on that and select options
  
• 
  Under keyboard layout you can find your Croatian keyboard added.

Cannot remove Keyboard Layout

Hi,

It is possible that you need to configure your keyboard layout that is why you still see it in the list even you already remove it. To address your issue, we suggest that you follow the steps on this

thread provided by DikkeryDok last October 27, 2017 to remove the specific keyboard layout you are referring to.
