Windows 10: Missing LG DVD Device Drivers on Windows 10 Ameliorated

Greetings, last year I assimilated my computer with Windows 10 Amelioratedonly because MSFS2020 won't run on Windows 7, nor any virtual Win10. https://Ameliorated.info the hyperlink insert feature isn't working on this Then recently I realized that the DVD Drives are not appearing under "This PC" which I renamed to "The Collective" after WinBorg 7 Ultimate & WinBorg XP. Then when I open the Device Manger, I can see that there's no driver installed for them. the DVD/CD-ROM drives is expanded with the two devices under and has the little icon with the yellow triangle and Exclamatio

Hi,

To fix the issue regarding error "cd/dvd device driver is missing", check the following steps:

• If Windows is asking for driver, jusk click on Cancel. It will bring you back to the Welcome screen.
  
• From there, insert it back to different USB port.
• Click on Install Now again. The installation process will go through as usual.

This happened to all updated Windows Installer. This might due to failure of windows detecting the USB drive.

When re-inserting the USB drive. Windows Installer will detect the USB drive back, and continue as usual.

DVD drive missing after upgrading to Windows 10

I understand your concern about DVD drive missing on your device. We will help you with this issue.

Do let us know the make and model of your device?

This issue might have occurred due to corrupted/ outdated drivers after upgrading to Windows 10. Try the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: If the drive is being detected in Device Manager try the below to update the drivers:

• • 
    Right click on Start button and select
    Device Manager.
    
  • 
    Expand DVD/CD ROM drives, right click on the drivers and click on
    Update driver software.
    
  • 
    Restart the computer and check if the issue persists.
    

Step 2:
If the device is not detected on your computer try to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

Hardware and Devices troubleshooter checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select it.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
  Troubleshooting window.
• Select the Hardware and Device options from the list.
  
• Click Next to run the Hardware and Device
  Troubleshooter.
