Windows 10: Missing Local Area Connection Network Driver for Windows

Hi, I use this device for work and today while working I lost internet connection and when i go to network and internet settings I no longer even have the option to turn on or off my ethernet adapter.Using the wifi at the moment to ask this question but it is spotty, hence the need for the hardline connection.Any help would be appreciated.Here is a screenshot of my Device Manager:

Missing field Connect using in Local Area Connection Properties

Have you tried uninstalling the Network Adapter? Since there is no properties in the Local Area Connection, we suggest that you uninstall the Network Adapter. Follow the steps below:

• Press Windows Key + R.
• Type devmgmt.msc.
• Right click on the Network Adapter.
• Select Uninstall.
• Select Ok.
• Select Scan for Hardware changes.

Update us on the results.

The Local Area Connection Missing Windows 10 error may be caused by windows system files damage. The corrupted system files entries can be a real threat to the wellbeing of your computer.

There can be many events which may have resulted in the system files errors. An incomplete installation, an incomplete uninstall, improper deletion of applications or hardware. It can also be caused if your computer is recovered from a virus or adware/spyware
attack or by an improper shutdown of the computer. All the above actives may result in the deletion or corruption of the entries in the windows system files. This corrupted system file will lead to the missing and wrongly linked information and files needed
for the proper working of the application.

A quick question before we proceed:

What is the error message that you get after enabling local area connection?



You may also restart the pc and Plug in the cable properly into to check if that helps.

July 1, 2014 in the Microsoft Community link and check if that helps.
