    Missing Mic Level in Speaker Playback Settings


    Hi, I am on the latest update of Windows 10.

    I want to have the mic output directly to the computers speaker without any delay. AFAIK, the best way is to unmute the mic level by going to:

    playback > speaker properties > levels > unmute mic input

    However, the mic level is not present. I saw that any ppl face this issue but I have yet to find anyone with a solution.

    If anyone knows why, please let me know. Thank you!!

    That actually worked, thanks for that!

    So it seems it was that update that messed with my settings since I never disabled that (Except Cortana, I'm paranoid on that AI, lol, so I disabled it for that app specifically).

    Although my "Playback Devices" menu option is still missing on the speaker icon right-click menu, but the mic itself works again.

    Combo headphone jack does not detect mic

    Welcome to the TenForums.

    If you right the speaker in task bar and then select recording devices, does your headset mic appear on list?

    If you click your headset mic once and then click properties can you set levels?

    Missing Mic Level in Speaker Playback Settings

    No sound & speakers missing in Playback Devices

    I have no sound on my new Windows 10 PC.
    Things I've tried:
    1) Uninstalled and reinstalled sound drivers with multiple restarts
    2) Checked power is connected
    3) Checked speakers are connected via the green jack
    There's another fix I was trying in the Playback Devices window but when I look there, my speakers aren't even displayed.
