Windows 10: Missing Mpeg-4 thumbnails

I use Windows10 and looking in File Explorer I notice that all formats of files still have their own thumbnails except Mpeg 4 files. All the documents files, photo files and all video file eg WMV generate thumbnails, but my Real Player files display only an icon.I've tried many things to remedy this. I checked on the File Explorer options, folder options, as well as any other possible options; so I've done all the obvious things.In short, all my files display as thumbnails EXCEPT Mpeg 4 files.Is this a Windows issue, a Real Player issue or some other issue? It is a real issue though.I have a

Many thanks for you reply. I have done all the steps you suggested, but no change,

When I open a folder containing photos, some open correctly but the vast majority open with thumbnails, but they very quickly get overwritten and you can not longer see the thumbnails.

Are there any more suggestions?

 

MPEG 4

I have a Nokia N70, and as you know can play MPEG 4 movies and clips. So, can someone tell me that when an MPEG 4 clip has been made through Pinnacle Studio Plus 10.5, and sent via bluetooth to the N70, it does not play the video, but only the audio. BUT when
you send the clip, via bluetooth, to a Sony Ericsson W550 you get perfect results......is there something in the N70 that does not allow this playback, and if so is there anyway it can be enabled. I have also tried the same thing on a Nokia 6680, but its the
same as the N70, wont play video, just the audio......please help.

 

6230i MPEG-4

The 6230i plays MPEG-4 VSP files, it is not compatible with MPEG-4 H264 files, so it is worth checking which codec your software uses to create the files.

This phone will also play 3GP files (H.263 codec), these are a much more common standard for mobile phones and can be created with the Nokia Multimedia Converter. I've been using that for a couple of years, I'm not sure where it is in the current Nokia site,
but I have found it pretty good and the results are compatible with every phone I've tried them with.
