Windows 10: Missing network Pc in file explorer

I have 3 PC’s running windows 10 pro. Each one has Quick books installed, with 1 of the 3 hosting the company file for QB. This network is a private ethernet network and has been working fine since it was set up. The problem is thst i wanted to share additional files between the 3, but the hosting computer does not show up in File Explorer under the network tab, even though the other 2 mahines still have access to the company file originally shared. I have ran a netwrk teset on each machine several times, but no positive results. Thoughts ? Thank you

Explorer missing a network device


Hi,
Missing network device - EXTERNALDRIVE
Since the last Windows 10 update which I installed on Dec. 9 I am missing one devices in Explorer > Network on one of three network computers.
They are all present on the other two computers. One of these is Windows 10., the other is Vista Premium.
The complete device list under network is Frankspc, Charlottespc, and Sue_ASUS and ExternalDrive.
The missing device on the Explorer list on Frankspc is EXTERNALDRIVE. I can ping it at 192.168.1.3
Any Ideas on how to get it back in the Explorer list?

File explorer not searching in This PC

I am sorry to know that you are facing issues with Windows 10.

I suggest you to reset Windows explorer and check the behavior.

Please follow the steps:

• 
  Right click on the task Bar and select Task Manager.
  
• 
  Select Processes tab.
  
• 
  Choose windows explorer and right click on it.
  
• 
  Select end task
  
• 
  Click on file menu and select run new task.
  
• 
  Type explorer.exe
  
• 
  Click on ok.

File Explorer - This PC folder - is missing some folder

Hi Bill

What folders are missing from the 'This PC' section in File Explorer, is that any of the user library folders or just folders you have created?

Please list those folders and the location on your hard drive . . .
