Windows 10: Missing paper trays in Photos app print dialoge

Hi! I'm running Windows 10 and I have a Canon Color ImageCLASS mf8280cw printer, which has two trays, "Drawer 1" and the "Multi-purpose Tray". Those two trays show up when I go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > right click my printer >Printing Preferences > Paper Source.


When I try to print using the default Windows 10 Photos app, I can access a list of paper trays by going to "more settings" and, under "Paper and quality" selecting the dropdown menu under "Paper tray". However, the only options that show up in this dropdown menu are "Auto select", "Manual", and "Drawer 1". The multi-purpose tray is missing from this list, and that tray is what I'd like to use.


Admittedly, I'm not sure of what "Manual" or "Autoselect" are supposed do, but "Manual" gives the error "Paper tray was changed from Manual because of a conflict with another printer setting" and "autoselect" gives an error as well, but on the printer side so it doesn't say exactly what the error is other than flashing the error indicator light.

So, all that said, is there any way to print from the Photos application using the multi-purpose tray?

printing photos

I have just purchased and am running the HP ENVY 5540 printer using wireless connection and Windows 10.

I have found "print photos" in the 5540 user guide but my dialogs in SW that came with the printer do not show the buttons or tabs memtioned in the print photos section of the guide.

After trying everything I can (I have very long term experience using Windows and Office) and the printer will NOT print my 4x6 photo on the photo paper. It always selects the 8 1/2 x 11 paper tray. Both trays, paper and photo are loaded.

I have a envy 5640 aio printer but unable to print photos from my laptop as it telling me no paper in tray I have checked everything else all ok I can print of from the main tray also only the photo tray has problem

New printer HP Envy 5660 bought in May ... and in June I download Windows 10 .

PROBLEM: .I'm Unable to print from computer get " Out of Paper" or "Fill paper tray" (Forget the exact message but something about out of paper) I wanted to print my monthly bank statement & a "Print this Page" Unable to print either page I called HP
& at that time discovered could print from computer so assumed problem solved but when try to print statement & Print this page was unable to

Who do I contact now HP printer again? HP Computer? Microsoft Windows 10? Does any one have any suggestions? Is there a setting I can change to make it possible for me to print
everything from computer/
