Windows 10: Missing program/app after random update.

Looking for a little help. After being a Windows guy since 3.1 I jumped ship a few years back and while I try to keep up with things as my wife uses and likes Windows I'm a little out of the game.

A few days ago she was asking for help as the program/app she had been sing to edit pictures for ebay disappeared. While she can get done what she needs to do she really couldn't tell me what was gone other than it was gone.

The best I can get from her is when she right clicked and the context menu came up one of the options at the top was ??? some app/program that she used that seems to be like the "photos app" but was a little different. I know it wasn't anything I added in so I'm assuming it was something built into Windows 10.

Does anyone have any idea what may have been removed from Windows in a recent update (last week of Aug)?

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

• When you hover your mouse over your taskbar or Start menu, are you seeing the icons for your apps?
• Have you tried searching for a specific app and check if it will appear on the search results?

Programs Missing From Control Panel List

I was able to get rid of XNVIEW by downloading it and using it's own uninstaller.
Have tried method suggested by Pyramid 10 with photoscape without success.
Can't figure out how to do what is asked.
