Windows 10: Missing taskbar

After a Microsoft upgrade on 8/`7/2022, my taskbar disappeared from the bottom of my screen. I believe it is out of sight on the far left side, but no icons can be seen. I have tried most of the fixes I could find on Google, including at least one from Microsoft, but they were all old. This is a very recent problem. The "Hide the taskbar" box is not checked and nothing I try helps. At the very bottom of what appears to be a taskbar top, is the abbreviation Eng > If I click on "hide the taskbar" the left side of the screen in the blank space to the left of the picture narrows, so it seems

Volume icon missing from Taskbar

• Open Settings and choose system.
• Click on Notifications and Actions.
• Click on Select which icons appear in Taskbar.
• Turn on Volume.

Missing options from Taskbar

I understand your query related to missing taskbar options on your PC. For further clarity on the issue, please respond to the questions below.

1. Which build version of Windows 10 are you using currently?
   
2. Are you aware of any changes made to the PC prior to which you weren’t facing this issue?
   
3. Do you have any other issues apart from the cascade and side-by-side option missing?

Meanwhile, I would suggest you to try re-registering the taskbar and see if that works. Kindly follow the steps mentioned below.

1. Press Windows + X keys together and click on
   Windows PowerShell (Admin)
   
2. Now type in the following command and hit enter:
   Get-appxpackage -all *shellexperience* -packagetype bundle |% {add-appxpackage -register -disabledevelopmentmode ($_.installlocation + “\appxmetadata\appxbundlemanifest.xml”)}
   
3. Restart the PC once the command is complete.
   

If the issue persists, you can try creating a
new user account and then see if the options are available for taskbar.

System Icons on taskbar

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.
