Windows 10: Missing Trim & Edit Button For Videos In Photos App

I liked the save a photo from video feature and found it useful for projects. After resetting my pc I noticed my ability to edit videos in the movies and tv app has been completely removed.I'm not sure what caused this... My software is up to date and so are all the provided photos apps. I've tried restarting my pc, deleting and redownloading the apps, resetting them, and freeing up storage but nothing seems to bring my ability to edit videos back. How can I fix this?

I appreciate your interest in Photos app. We did try to reproduce the issue on our test systems and trimmed video was saved with the date and time on which it was edition. So the issue could be with photos app as you mentioned that you system time
is correct. I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned in the article:
Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store. You can also try to re-install the app
using PowerShell. Here are steps to re-install photos app:

1. Open PowerShell (Admin). Right click on the start button and then on PowerShell (Admin).
   
2. Then type: get-appxpackage *Microsoft.Windows.Photos* | remove-appxpackage
   
3. Once the above command is successful. You can either install the app from the store or type the following command in PowerShell:
   Reinstalling apps: Get-AppXPackage -allusers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Able to trim but unable to save the edits in Photo App

I am trying to trim a video in the Photo App Windows 10. Able to trim but unable to save the edits. Would appreciate any and all guidance.

 

Edit Video in Photos- Trim

I had a small issue with the Edit in Photos feature on a video file in Windows 10.

I regularly capture video files while gaming and noticed the trim feature under the "Edit In Photo" option while watching a video file(pen icon).

Upon using this feature I trim the video to my desired length and save a copy. But the new video file has a significantly whiter picture when i watch it. Is this something that is temporary or that i fix in anyway?

I'd appreciate any help on fixing this issue, Thank You.
