Windows 10: Missing User After Accessing Bios

Hi there! Hoping someone can help me with this because I am lost.I searched for a safe way to access and make a change to the BIOS I wanted to enable the onboard graphics on my MOBO. I followed the instructions on this link:How to enter the BIOS on Windows 10 Laptop MagAs soon as the PC restarted an old user showed up - not my main one, the one I am using here for this message. The desktop is full of old material. And even Windows version got back to 20h2. I'm really lost with this.Restore point are also missing. Maybe because of this new user, but I don't know. I was previously in Windows

access BIOS settings in Win 10

I have an 8-year old computer running Win 10. I need to access the BIOS settings. It used to be the holding down the F2 key during startup would bring up the BIOS screen in Windows computers. But this no longer works. A web article listed a complicated
series of steps leading to a reboot . . . but still no access to BIOS. Any suggestions?

The other reason I suggested this is that users can add characters to their username that are not alphanumeric (e.g. user*). This confuses things somewhat when looking at the list.
