    Missing video codecs for Windows 11


    I've recently got a new laptop with W11 on. Mostly, things are fine, but on some videos that I play, when I choose to jump forward, it becomes scrambled for a few seconds before getting right again. I presume I'm missing a codec, but my player VLC and when looking if my plug-ins are up to date, it says they are.This is for mp4 videos. It works fine on some of them, but not on others. When I look at the video properties, it doesn't say anything about what codec it uses.

    i try to open some avi files with pc suite to have them playing on my mob and it says he video codec is missing... what can I do?

    Here's a suggestion from el_loco:

    "I don't recommend the video manager it doesn't work very well...".

    There's also a detailed conversion steps for converting DVD in the post. Please check.

    I visited the web site you suggested and discovered that Apple no longer supports QuickTime for Windows. Therefore I do not wish to download this software! I am trying to solve my issues with the
    Missing codec error 0xc00d5212 so that I can remove the videos from my iPad but still be able to view them. Thank you for all the suggestions you have provided.
