Windows 10: Missing volume icon with a weird temporary fix

I'm on a fresh Windows 10 install after some computer issues. When I boot up, everything's fine, except my volume icon in the taskbar is missing, with an empty space where it should be. Yes, the icon is turned on in taskbar settings. If I turn it off and then back on, it appears at the left end of the system icon area, while booting the network icon off the right end, but with everything turned on like I want, it's only the volume icon missing when I boot.I've found a weird fix, though. I was installing some drivers and things to try and resolve some other issues I was having, and found that w

• Open Settings and choose system.
• Click on Notifications and Actions.
• Click on Select which icons appear in Taskbar.

Missing Date and Time, volume and Battery Icons

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if this helps:

• Right click on the task bar and you will get a popup menu.
• Click on properties.
• Under behavior of system icons select ON for volume icon, Date and Time icon and Battery icon to always show.
• Click OK.
