    Missing WLAN Driver

Hello, so to begin with this whole ordeal, in the morning I booted up my computer, however I noticed there was no wifi, so I tried fo reconnect, but there was no option to show WiFi connections, just Bluetooth, airplane mode and other things I didn't need. I tried multiple things to figure out what was happening, when I finally came to the conclusion that I'm missing the realtek WLAN Driver adapter. I wasn't really sure how to fix this but I got an idea to reinstall the driver from my motherboards manufactur website, but I couldn't use my pc since now wifi was gone. Ethernet or a USB was out

    :)

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

First Verify if the WLAN service is started and set to automatic, if the WLAN service is stopped, I would suggest you to start the service and put it to automatic.

Step 1: Please follow the steps to
    start the WLAN service.

    • Click on Start, type in services.msc
      and press Enter.

    • Select WLAN Autoconfig from the list, Right click properties

    • Change the startup type to Automatic.

    • Click on Start button.

    • Click on Apply, Ok.
Restart the computer and verify if it works.

Also check if all the dependencies are also running. Try the steps to check Dependencies.

    • Right-click on WLAN Autoconfig and select Properties.

    • Click on Dependencies, you will find all the dependency services under box labeled this service depends on the following system components.
Step 2: If still you are facing issues, then
    uninstall and reinstall the drivers

    • Click start.

    • Type devmgmt.msc in Start
      Search.

    • In Network adapter you will find the device, right click on it and select the option
      uninstall.

  3. Hp Envy Driver missing

    Hi Mohsin,

    • Are you referring the missing driver as the High Definition Audio device
with a yellow mark in the screenshot?

This issue could have happened due to corrupted driver files. Let's try reinstalling the driver and check if the driver can be recovered. Follow the below steps to re-install the driver.

    • As you are already on the device manager, right-click on High Definition Audio device, and select
      Uninstall.
    • Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.

    If the issue still persist, I suggest you to run the hardware troubleshooter and check if the issue is resolved. Follow the below steps to run the Hardware troubleshooter;

    • Type troubleshooting in the search tool.
    • Click on Troubleshooting tab.
    • Click on view all option on the upper left corner.
    • Select the Hardware and
      Device options from the list.
    • Click Next to run the Hardware
      and Device Troubleshooter.

Let us know if you need further assistance, we will be glad to help you.
