Windows 10: MIX format Microsoft files

Has Microsoft created a solution to the problem of not supporting their own MIX files leaving all those scanned and created pictures unopenable?

What are the other programs that are you facing issues with?

As you know, right now there is no Microsoft converter or viewer that will help you to see the .MIX file. Since you do not want to use some third party software to convert the .mix files to .jpg files.

You may please provide your feedback about this issue in feedback app.

Follow the steps:

• Go to Start, enter the phrase Windows Feedback, and then select Windows Feedback.
• See if someone else has given similar feedback by entering the topic, such as Microsoft Music.
• If you find similar feedback, select it, add any details, and then select
  Me too.
• To narrow your search to a specific category, pick the category that most closely matches your feedback (so it gets to the right people quickly). For example, for feedback about the Music app, select Apps > Music.
• If you don’t find any similar feedback, select New Feedback, and choose a topic from
  Select a category and then select a subcategory.
• Enter your feedback (the more details the better!), add a screenshot if you can, and you're done.

How To Format A Write Protected Flash Memory ?

Run CMD


1. diskpart
2. list disk

Then in the 3º step, put the correct number of disk in the list for the usb flash (if it's listed in disk 3, then you'll have to write select disk 3).

2. select disk #
3. clean
4. create partition primary
5. select partition 1
6. active
7. format fs=fat32
8. assign
9. exit

with that commands you will format the flash drive in fat32, if you have a large drive you can select also "format fs=ntfs" in step 7.
