  1. Mobile device not showing up on Windows 10 when connected through USB

I am using Windows 10 Home on my laptop. I am trying to connect my Android mobile to the laptop through USB. I can hear the sound, enable file transfer on mobile device, getting a pop-up that the device is ready to use. But the device is not showing up on Windows explorer. To troubleshoot I tried to update the driver by clicking on my device name under Other Devices but it failed again with following error - "Windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install them. MTP USB DeviceThe system cannot find the file specified"Tried with other basic troubleshoo

  2. Windows Mobile Device Center error

Sync center will provide the synchronization required. You will need to reconfigure the sync. Follow these steps:

    1. Windows key + X > Control Panel > Sync Center
    2. Select Sync step
    3. Connect your device via USB

  4. Mobile device not showing up on Windows 10 when connected through USB

USB connection to mobile phone not working after updating to Windows 10

Since updating to Windows 10, when plugging in any mobile phones via a USB cable, they are not recognised. The phones are showing as connected (charging) but they do not appear on the device list.

    Please advise
