    Mobile Hotspot not sharing on Windows 10


    Dear Microsoft,


    I have Win10 20H2 19042.789 and wish to setup a hotspot from this windows PC to an Android device using Bluetooth only.


    I have enabled Mobile Hotspot and shared the internet connection from my Ethernet adapter in the Windows 10 machine.

    I have successfully connected the Android device to the Windows 10 device and shows Connected no phone or media on the Android device


    Yet I cannot seem to access the internet on the android device nor do I see any devices listed 0 of 7 in the mobile hotspot


    When I access the Bluetooth Network connection adapter on Windows it seems to have allocated an IPv4 address of 192.168.138.1/24 yet my local network is on a 192.168.1.x/24 subnet. Should the Bluetooth adapter be set to obtain an IP address automatically? If so, how does it obtain an address as the Windows 10 PC is not a DHCP server. Could I assign an manual address, would this work?

    To enable Internet sharing/Mobile hotspot on your phone, please follow the steps below:

    1. Go to Settings.
    2. Tap on Network & wireless.
    3. Tap Mobile hotspot.
    4. Tap on the On/Off slider to enable the Internet sharing/Mobile hotspot on your phone.
