    Hello there!

I wanna use my pc as a accespoint for my phone so i turn on ''mobile hotspot'' this works all fine but when i put my pc to sleep mode it just dissapears. I think it is because the ethernet disconects while my pc is in sleep mode. i've tried several tutorials but couldn't find an anwser. is there someone with the same problem who solved it? please let me know!

    Kind regards Simon

    :)

last time i checked, joikuspot doesnt work with titan's kernel.

however, mobilehotspot works with titan's kernel. actually, i believe it requires you to install titan's kernel for it to function.

@OP - if you havent already, you need to install 'enhanced linux kernel for power users'.

mobilehotspot works well for me, whereas joikuspot doesnt work at all for me. which kinda sucks cos i paid for joikuspot, yet mobilehotspot is free.

okay...as I'd really like to get Mobilehotspot to work. Can I get a walk through on where to find this Titan kernel? How to check which kernel my phone is currently using that seems to be incommpatible?.....How to or even where to download it from,.....do
I download it by browsing directly with the N900....I'm NOT a power user, but manage to not drag my knuckles on the ground when I walk either !! Just a step by step if it's not too much trouble. Thanks

I have attempted, twice, to install and use an app called "Mobilehotspot (v. 0.3.3). It seems to download fine (found in the Network section of the File Manager). After insuring that I have an active internet connection to my N900 (which I assume is necessary
for a shared Wifi connection) the Mobilehotspot program opens just fine,....I set two details and hit "Start" upon which I receive the same message each time "HotSpot failed to start". I've removed and reinstalled,....rebooted after reinstalling and continue
to get the same message. Any suggestions? Seems like a pretty straight forward app and a very hand one indeed. Thanks in advance for any knowledge about this small issue.
