Windows 10: Modern Standby and HDMI-CEC problem

Hello all,I have an issue with Modern Standby and HDMI-CEC-enabled devices. My Intel NUC 11 PC supports sending a CEC command to power on/off devices connected to the HDMI I have an AV receiver and OLED TV when the PC goes to sleep or wakes up. This is configurable in BIOS. It's very convenient when you don't need to touch the IR remotes of the TV and AV receiver. Everything turns on when the PC turns on or wakes up.Unfortunately, when the PC is in Modern Standby, it randomly turns on/off the TV and the receiver due to some background activities. The Windows PC/laptop HDMI interface does not support direct access to the HDMI CEC bus. (maybe there are linux drivers that can). There are devices or DIY schemetics that split the HDMI to USB. Using the USB you can send or receive the CEC commands. the
KODI wiki even explains and shows this. http://kodi.wiki/view/CEC. I think the most it would do without it would be maybe turn on the tv from standby when the pc/laptop powers on.

I have a laptop with a HDMI port and I have a TV with HDMI-CEC option. I connected the two with HDMI cable and I want to be able to turn on and off my TV using my laptop. Is that possible and how?

You should at least have googled (or binged?) the internet for "HDMI CEC" before answering, because you really have no clue about what it is at all about!

That is exactly the opposite of what HDMI CEC was made for: the TV sending back to the PC via the HDMI cable (the opposite way the video signal goes) information
about keys pressed on the *TV* remote, so the PC does not need a receiver to know you pressed a remote key like PLAY/PAUSE.

A media player like KODI, on a HDMI CEC compatible PC, connected to a CEC compatible TV, should be controlled using the TV remote for basic functionality like play, pause, menus.
If that doesn't work it's a technical problem.
