Windows 10: Modify Keyboard shortcuts to mimic macOS’ adapted glyphs and symbols...

Hello Community,

I was wondering if anyone here knows of a way to make Window 10 to have the similar adapted accent mark glyph system you find on macOS.

I am mostly look to bring the same Option+ function to Windows.

resetting keyboard symbols

Hi Carol,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I would suggest you to remove English UK and just have the default English US under keyboard input language and check.

Step 1:To keep English US as the default input language and to remove other installed services

a. Type Settings in the search bar and click on the setting symbol on the top right.

b. Click on Time and Languages.

c. Click on Region and Languages.

d. Under the languages tab.

e. Click and Change the language to English US.

Step 2:Use on screen keyboard to type the characters (@, “)

To use on-screen keyboard, follow the steps below.

a. Click on Start; type “On-screen” without quotes and hit Enter.

b. Now check if you’re able to get right characters.

To create the Ethernet shortcut on your desktop, you can follow the step provided below.



Step: Create Ethernet shortcut on the desktop.

1. Press Windows + R key on your keyboard together.
   
2. Type in ncpa.cpl
   and hit enter.
   
3. You will see all your network adapter.
   
4. Right click on your desired adapter and click on
   Create Shortcut and allow the prompt.
   
5. Or you can drag and drop the network adapter on the desktop that will create a shortcut too.
   
6. You can now right on the shortcut on your desktop and disable and enable internet connection.

Can I create a keyboard shortcut for the symbol ₦, then remap it to shift + 4?

I have PowerToys, but can't figure how to do this with its Keyboard remapper.
