Windows 10: Monitor disconnects after lock screen, and incoming call sounds starts playing

I have a new external monitor, connected via HDMI to my Windows 10 laptop.When I disconnect the HDMI cable, the incoming call sound same as used by Teams when I'm being called starts playing.When I lock screen, after 1 minute the external monitor also disconnects, and the same sound follows.The "Device Disconnect" event in my sound scheme Windows Default is still the default, "Windows Hardware Remove". As a side note, the Test button does not work in this dialog.In my advanced power settings I have disabled the USB selective suspend setting. The "Turn off display after" setting is 10 min

Sound for incoming emails


Yes, I have (and had) Notifications - Show in action center on and a checkmark at Play a sound - but don't get a sound for incoming mails.

However, I don't have Mail listed in Settings - Privacy - Let apps run in the background and also not in Settings System - Notifications & actions - Show notifications from these apps. In the first setting other applications are listed (but Mail is not one of them), in the second setting no application is listed and it only says "No apps have provided notifications yet".

Just to clarifiy it - I also don't get a sound for incoming emails when Mail is the active foreground application.

If the connect/disconnect sounds is only happening when playing an specific game, It might be a game app or a driver issue. we suggest that you try to uninstall and reinstall the game and check if the problem persists. Check the steps provided below:

• Open the Start menu.
• Click Settings.
• Click System on the Settings menu.
• Select Apps & features from the left pane. ...
• Select an app you wish to uninstall.
• Click the Uninstall button that appears.

Make sure also that your device software drivers are updated.
