    Monitor goes black screen and PC has been freezing a lot lately. Needs to be unplugged.


    It started when I was playing a game and it suddenly started freezing, the PC is still on and lights up along with the mouse and keyboard, the audio usually still plays but sometimes it just stops after a bit and makes a "brrrrr" noise. Sometimes both my monitors just go black and I can't do anything about it even though my PC is still on. Hard reset by holding the power button won't work because it'll start up with both black screens even though everything else is on. It needs to be unplugged for a bit before being plugged back in for it to start up normally. Switching off the PSU won't work

    that is exactly what happens to me. Maybe i expressed myself in a wrong way.
    Anyways... did you try to use a different 8 pin cable ?

    Monitor goes to sleep when screen has lot of black.


    Check DVI cable, reconnect it. If it still appears. Try switch DVI to VGA. You graphic card don't have VGA connector, so try lend from friend DVI/VGA adapter.

    If problem still appears try to use another DVI cable to be sure it's not cable problem.
    Try to use your monitor with other PC/Laptop if it works. If it's fine it's not monitor fault.
    Try to change cable, if problem still the same, it's not cable fault nether monitor.
    Try to reinstall graphic card with NVIDIA/AMD Uninstaller from here http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/...-download.html
    If problem still appears reply. It may be graphic card issue.

    Monitor goes black after playing games

    Lately, after I quit a game, it happens that the monitor goes black and goes basically in some kind of standby. It doesn't happen always (today it's just the second time that it happens), but I really don't understand what the problem could be. I cannot really tell even if it's just the monitor or the whole computer freezes, in fact, I've been forced to restart the pc using the button. Any help, please?
