  1. Monitor going black on 144 hz

Hey, i just bought a new PC with a 4070Ti gigabyte aero edition, when i connected it to my 2 monitors, 1 is 144 hz odyssey g5 and other one is 60, the 144 went completely black and the 60 one kept going on and off. i bought new cables the 144 hz is connected with 2.1 hdmi. and the 60 is connected with hdmi on the monitor and dp into the pc. when i change the hz on the 144 hz monitor to 60. they work fine. but when i switch it back to 144 the problem returns. this never happend on my old computer. i disconnected the hdmi 144 from the monitor itself and reconnected and now it works fine on 144

    :)

  2. Can't set my DisplayPort monitor to 144 Hz in Windows 10 October 2018 Update

That is not the main problem. Lowering my refresh rate is a temporary solution, as my monitor supports 144 Hz. I have been using the 144 Hz with no trouble until this October 2018 Update, where I can't set my monitor to that refresh rate on the Windows
or NVIDIA config, or it will go black despite still being recognized by the OS.

  3. Can't set my DisplayPort monitor to 144 Hz in Windows 10 October 2018 Update

I just updated to Windows 10 October 2018 Update (1809), and I can't set my main monitor to 144 Hz. It is connected via DisplayPort, and I have no problem setting the refresh rate in my other monitors.

Also, if I set the refresh rate to 120 Hz or 60 Hz on my main monitor, it will go down to 59 or 119 Hz. I have clean-installed the latest graphics drivers (NVIDIA 411.70) to no help.

  4. Monitor going black on 144 hz

Windows locks hz to all monitors if animations

Upon further checking on your concern, this is a design limitation as Windows tries to sync both monitors. It treats both monitors as 1, thus it drops the FPS on the 144 HZ monitor.

We suggest that you can submit this issue using the feedback application on your computer.

    Regards.
