Windows 10: Monitor got switched up

I was playing Escape from Tarkov and as I was loading into the game I forgot to set up the map on my second monitor so I quickly alt-tabbed to open it up on my second monitor, and my computer stuttered I guess I had the graphics set too high and my second monitor screen then switched over to the no signal screen and all my tabs I had open on the second monitor moved over to my main monitor and now, when I try to use the second monitor while its on it won't connect but once I turn the screen off by pressing the power button, windows detects the screen. I have no idea how to fix this, I've tried turning it off and on again, I've turned it off so that it would say it was connected and then unplugged my HDMI cord, turned the screen back on and then reconnected the HDMI cord to see if it would revert back to normal but that didn't work. I've also tried uninstalling the driver when the the computer says it was connected in the hopes that it would automatically reinstall the driver once I turned the computer back on but that also didn't seem to work.

Monitor Primary monitor layout switches upon second monitor power off

Hi alts63,

One of the possible reasons why your primary monitor layout switches is that the rotation lock option is turned on. In order to turn that off and fix the issue, please follow these steps:

1. Press Windows key + A on your keyboard to open Action Center.
2. Click the Expand button.
3. Click the Rotation lock to turn it off.

Trouble with 2 monitors

I suggest you to change the settings to Extended Monitor and check if it helps.

Please follow below steps:

• Right Click any ware of the Desktop, and launch Personalization.
• Go to dual monitor settings under personalization, and change it Extended Monitor.
