Windows 10: monitor is blinking and screen goes black

Try Del. As soon as you power on, del, del, del. I would retry F2 as well.

If machine can handle you can also enter through advance startup Option. Hold shift and click restart.

I have tried those buttons as well, it just sends me to a black screen with a blinking power button. I also couldn't find any choices in advanced options that sends me to bios. Should also mention that the registry tweaks didn't work. Plus the intel gfx card drivers keeps reinstalling itself, it seems like i can't get rid of it for some reason. Any more ideas or is it time to get some new hardware?

 

I don't think I would get new hardware for this issue.

Others are having so I wouldn't be surprised to see a fix although I in no way can influence except through wishes.

One sure fire way to enter bios is to take coin battery out of holder on motherboard.

My PC doesnt want to power on anymore. Im guessing its the mainboard. The battery was tough to get out as well. The lenovo guide didnt help to get into bios. What would be best to do from this point? A new mainboard for my computer is really expensive if i buy it from lenovo.

 

In what way was the battery tough to get out ?
Can you explain this more as in how you tried to remove the battery ?

No, I have thrown out the lenovo mainboard. I don't know how to explain but it seems like the battery wasn't meant to be taken out. I have bought a new mainboard though, asus H81M-K. So im using my PC again. But the issue with my gfx card is still the same. I think at this point its safe to say that its the gfx card that is causing the problems.

P.S with my old lenovo mainboard, windows would show 2 monitors and 2 gfx cards in device manager. 2 standard pnp-monitors, 1 intel gfx card and 1 nvidia gfx card. Regardless of how many times i removed the intel gfx card drivers, it would reinstall itself again.

 

This might seem rather obvious but just in case, you were just plugging both monitors into the graphics card and not one on the motherboard socket?

I got a new gfx card, asus gtx 1050. It works well. But the issue with the monitor persists. So it must be the monitor itself. Is there any fix for this? I like my monitor and I really don't want to buy a new one. I have my calibration set up and everything looks great.

 

Monitors blinking or turning off, if not a bad cable, can often be a defective capacitor or switch, power supply probably fixable or worse, the LED backlight is about to fail, often not so easy to replace.
Normal first step would be to try the monitor in a different PC, however you have effectively done this by changing the motherboard and GPU and have the same problem.
Unless you are good with electronics I wouldn't attempt it but get someone who is to look at it.

 

I'm marking this as solved since we figured out the problem.

P.S the soluton was to buy a new power adapter for my monitor. As stupid as it sounds, the problem was a defective power adapter for my LG screen. I wish I had knew that beforehand.
