Windows 10: Monitor is stuck in Power Save mode and won't increase brightness

We own a HP Victus, running Windows 11, bought this time last year. Used a few days ago and everything was fine. Put away unplugged after we were finished. Launched it today, plugged in and the screen brightness was ok. Went to install a game star wars, the old republic and everything was fine. Left it installing as I went to work. Came back and the game installed and the screen brightness shifted to a power saving mode and was flickering when we returned to it. Now, we have charged the computer to almost full, turned off power saving mode and cannot get the screen to come back to normal.

I am using a VAIO laptop. My Dell external monitor, which has worked fine for years, is stuck in Power Save Mode following a November Win10 update. I've switched to HDMI from VGA and back to no avail.

I did a System Restore to weeks earlier, and the monitor started to work. However, as soon as Windows saw that I "needed" an update, I was back to the same problem.

A simple fix, if it can be done, would be to change Windows or the St2010 monitor so that the monitor never considers going into Power Save mode. I don't know how to do this. Or, do you have another idea?

To change your Windows 10 monitor brightness, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Click the Windows logo; then, search for Control Panel.
• Select Hardware and Sound.
• Choose Power Options.
• On the next screen you should see brightness slider at the bottom of the Control Panel window.

Stuck in power saving mode

I have a windows vista and its stuck in the power saving mode.And my monitor is working good but its stuck in power saving mode i cant do anything when i move my mouse or i tap my keyboard it wont start up.This problem is starting when i start up my computer.and
its like years old
