Windows 10: Monitor lit black screen, no image

Discus and support Monitor lit black screen, no image in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; I have 2 monitors and they have worked just fine for years.     Monitor lit black screen, no image


    I have 2 monitors and they have worked just fine for years. Yesterday, after waking my computer up, the main monitor turned on but it was just a lit black screen. It is being detected when I open display settings on the other monitor. I tried switching from display port to HDMI but it was still just a lit black screen. When I change the refresh rate on the main monitor from my secondary monitor the main monitor goes completely dark for a second then lights back up, but still just black so I don't think it's a backlight issue. I did update my GPU driver a couple days ago but it was still workin

    Monitor image slightly off screen

    See if there is a driver for your specific monitor, change the refresh rate or use the image adjustments from the monitor as twicksisted suggested.

    I plugged in my monitor and both screens were on/lit but black screen on both.

    What to do with a black screen?

    When you hooked up the other monitor, did you get an image of any kind? Also... on the "other" monitor you hook to the laptop, make sure you set that monitor's input for HDMI, or w/e cable you used.
