Windows 10: Monitor not getting signal

I'm having issues getting my HDMI monitor to show a signal. I've tried a lot of options already that have been listed on the internet but I'm not having luck.

Basically, I have a TV I was using last night with the HDMI cable (Display Port - HDMI) to my pc with no problem. I switched it this morning back to my monitor so I could work. However, it's saying it doesn't have any signal.

I hooked up my second monitor which is connected VGA and it works just fine.

I plugged the HDMI back into the TV and it shows the display just fine so I know the cable is working and that my pc is sending a signal.

I've updated drivers, ran a troubleshoot even unplugged it for a bit then plugged it back in.

Everytime it works just fine when connected to the TV but the monitor always says check signal.

I hooked my PS4 into the monitor to make sure that it wasn't the ports on it and it worked just fine.

I'm at a loss at what to do now.

*Edited to add that I regularly switch between using my monitor and TV and haven't had any issues at all with it not switching back. I was using my monitor all the way up until I finished up work last night then switched to my tv to watch TV.

Windows 10 Update Installed & Now No Signal to Monitor

• When you say "signal", are you referring to the Internet?
• Are you getting any error messages? If yes, what is the exact error message?
• To make sure that we have not missed on anything, what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Second Monitor has No Signal

Hi,

To assist you further with your concern about no signal on your second monitor, we would like to get some information from you:

• What is the make and model of your computer?
• Did you try to check if the second monitor will work if installed as the primary monitor?
• Aside from checking the cables, did you try to use a different cable?
• Are the right monitor drivers installed on your computer?
• Does your video card has the right settings for using two monitors?
• Did you update your video card driver?

INPUT SIGNAL OUT OF RANGE while playing Wizard 101

This happens if the signal from the video adapter exceeds the scan range of the monitor. The video card is feeding the monitor a signal stream in excess of what the monitor can accommodate. The two main causes for this are that either the resolution
or the vertical frequency is set high.

You may try the troubleshooting steps listed in HP and Compaq Flat Panel Monitors - Flat Panel Monitor Displays Message about
No Signal, Signal out of Range, Sleep, or Power Save and check if it helps.
