Windows 10: Monitor not receiving signal after changing resolution in Windows 10

So I changed my resolution and suddenly my second monitor just lost signal. No matter what I do now, even in safe mode, I just can not get my second monitor to get any signal....I reinstalled drivers, did all updates, turned it on and off, plugged cable in and out. Even took out all my monitor cables and just plugged in the one not working and even then it does not get a display HDMI TV.Weirdest issue I have run into...Help pls.I have tried everything basic already.

It just makes no sense how/why Windows would suddenly stop all signal going to a monitor due to a resolution change. But thank you for your help!

I understand that you want to change the active signal resolution for the monitor that you are using.



I would suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned below and see if that helps:

1. Press Windows Logo key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on System and select
   Display from the left pane.
   
3. Scroll down and select Advanced Display Settings.
   
4. Click on Display adapter properties for Display # (Display 2 in your case).
   
5. Click on List All Modes under
   Adapter tab.
   
6. Now, select the resolution that your monitor supports.
   
7. Click on OK and click on
   Keep changes.
   

You may also want to try updating your graphics drivers. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows Logo key + X, and select
   Device Manager.
   
2. Expand Display adapters.
   
3. Right click on the graphics card
   device and select Update Driver.
