Windows 10: Monitor showing black screen after waking the PC from sleep, or even after power on? Here's...

Not a question, but thought it would help those experiencing BLACK SCREEN after waking their PC from sleep, or even when turning the PC on. Background:Oh well, they say never update drivers directly via Windows Updates--but in my case, I must say that Microsoft does a pretty good job cuz it knows what exactly you've been putting in your machine. I got two kind of similar PCmainly motherboards hooked via HDMIx2 on HP w2558hc; a 1920x1200 dinosaur that I still cherish and performs way better than my BenQ XL2411Z did. Does it only happen when waking up the computer from sleep?

To check for possible causes of this issue, we suggest you to run Power Troubleshooter. To do so, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key.
• Type Troubleshooting.
• On the left side, click View all.
• Click Power.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

If the issue still persists, you may update the Chipset driver from the device manufacturer.

Windows 10 Power Sleep: PC waking up during the day/night and not going back to sleep

Windows 10 Power Sleep: PC waking up during the day/night and not going back to sleep:

My HP Pavilion Desktop will go to sleep after I am finished as normal (whether walking away, signed out, switched user but not logged in to other user) after a while the pc will wake up and the monitor will turn on and stay on. Sometimes the monitor will
go back to sleep but pc remains on. I have not been able to resolve this issue and has been occurring over months. PC will wake during the night and monitor will stay on and neither will go back to sleep. Have reset power settings to default monitor sleeps
at 10 min, pc sleeps after 20 minutes. I know there are settings and software that can wake up a pc but I have not been able to find the list in Windows 10.

My pc is a 2018 HP Pavilion Desktop Windows 10 updated 64but AMD12 PC-570-p0xx and fully updated as of Sept 25th 2018.

Monitors blink off (black screen) and on multiple times after waking up from sleep mode

Hello Friends,

There is a recurring issue I am having with my monitor setup.

Issue:

• All monitors will blink on (waking up from sleep mode) then blink off (black screen, unresponsive to key commands) for a second or two. This repeats a couple of times before my monitors finally stay on.
  
  • I've seen other posts that reference "flickering" but my issue does not seem to present like that. It seems more like my monitors/system is trying to calibrate the monitors to my system settings and is blinking on and off to bring them in sync(?).
    

Info:

• 3 monitors
  
• Windows 10 (up to date)
  
• Nvidia Geforce GPU 3080
  
• Gsync on 1 out of 3 monitors enabled
  
• All monitors using display port (firmly plugged in)
