Windows 10: Monitor turns off but I could still hear my audio

This mainly occurs when I play a game but also when I believe there may be too much memory usage with something. My monitor turns completely off at some points and doesn't turn on. I either have to wait for it to restart itself or I manually turn of my pc. I've looked into a couple event viewer codes and have ran some OCCT tests but can pinpoint the issue. I'm assuming it has something to do with power supply or motherboard but I'm just not sure. I'm not sure if there's a better way to share my event viewer logs on here but I just used google drive. 1. Do you want to use your external speakers for the audio instead of the monitor speakers?
2. Are you hearing the audio both from your external speakers and the monitor speakers?

Meanwhile, you may try the below steps to change the playback device and check if this helps.

1. Select on the Start button > Type Sound in the search box > Select
   Sound from the list of results.
2. Go to Playback tab > Select your Sound System Device that you want to hear the audio from > Then click on
   Set Default.
3. Restart the computer once and check if this helps.

Cortana not hearing voice commands

Method 1:

I suggest you to try to turn Cortana off and then try turning it on back and check if she talks. Refer to the steps below to turn Off and On Cortana:

• Open Cortana.
• Click the hamburger button in the top left of the window.
• Go to Settings and click on off.
• Follow the same steps to turn it on.
• Check if issue persists.

Method 2:

I suggest you to run the Recording Audio
troubleshooter and check if it helps.

• Type troubleshooting in the search bar.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click on Recording Audio.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
• Check if issue persists.
