Windows 10: monitor which appears to go to sleep

I have a new experience with my monitor which appears to go to sleep even while typing or moving the mouse. While working in a spread sheet the monitor will go black as if going to sleep. After a few minutes it will come back and all data on the spread sheet will be correct no data loss. I have changed monitors no change, video card 2 ea. and finally move the monitor connection to the motherboard all with the same results the monitor goes black after 5 to 10 minutes. I have also run SFC which found some corrupt files and replaced them. I am out of ideas, if you have any please let me kno
