    I use a 2015 LG monitor still working wonderfully and this thing runs in 1366x768Once I accidentally changed resolution to 1920x1080 while using second screen only mode, this happened because I use HDMI to VGA adapter.I tried using low resolution safe mode but it didn't work.

    Unable to Extend Desktop to a second monitor

    Hi,

    My monitor was working fine and then the monitor went off which is plugged into my laptop and is set up as a extend display, now both the monitor screen is shown and the monitor, but when on extend display is selected it says out of range and some of the
    display is cut off (it still works but have a out of range box ), but on duplicate display it works fine, it only stated doing it today.

    Hi, I'm using an Acer laptop running windows 10. I usually connect a secondary screen to extend my view and work on multiple projects. My secondary monitor is an LG L1942P. I have had no problems with it until I connected a different monitor Acer s202HL, but then decided not to use it for now. Once I connected my LG screen back I got the message saying analog out of range 74.9kHZ/60HZ. I'm familiar with this kind of problem and I tried resetting the video card, changing the secondary screen HZ etc. The issue here though is that my error message is showing up only when I try extending my screen, but not when I duplicate my screen, or use second screen only the screen works perfect. Does anyone have any suggestion on this kind of issue?

    Second monitor 'out of range'

    Hello, I have recently bought a second monitor for my homeoffice to use in a dual monitor set-up. When I connect the second monitor, it is recognised by Windows and set with the right frequency and resolution but the display says, 'out of range'.

    More information:

    The monitors are AOC G2460PF (144Hz), NEC Multisync EA223WM (60Hz).

    My graphics card is a Radeon RX 5700 XT.

    I am running Windows 10 (64 bit).

    I have the latest version of Windows installed.

    I have the latest drivers for the monitors installed.

    I have the latest driver for my graphics card installed.

    I have checked under 'Display Settings > Advanced Display Settings', if the second monitor has the correct resolution and refresh rate.

    Maybe most important: When I boot Windows 10 in safe mode with only the second monitor (the NEC) turned on, the monitor works just fine! When I boot Windows 10 normally with only the second monitor turned on, it show the boot loading screen but then returns
    to giving out the 'out of range' message as soon as Windows starts to boot.

    I have already tried the following:

    Unplug the device and plugging it back in.

    Uninstalling and re-installing the drivers for the monitor.

    Uninstalling and re-installing the driver for the graphics card.

    Any further suggestions as to what I should try?
