    Most of the time my computer starts up but after a short time and it does not matter where I am at my monitor starts to flicker and it goes to lines and distorted colors and my mouse freezes then the monitor shuts down. Then I'll reboot and when it comes but on the monitor is showing vertical lines and will not reboot at all. Now I have the system back up and has been working fine for 10 minutes, but I do not how long it will take to freeze up. Can someone explain what is happening to my system, I have windows 10

    Trouble with 2 monitors

    Hi Tim,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    I suggest you to change the settings to Extended Monitor and check if it helps.

    Please follow below steps:

    • Right Click any ware of the Desktop, and launch Personalization.
    • Go to dual monitor settings under personalization, and change it Extended Monitor.

    Hi Ron,

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    • What changes did you make in the BIOS? As making the changes in the BIOS is only recommended by Microsoft if done by the manufacturer.
    • How are you connecting to the 2nd monitor?
