    Monitoring Fibre Connection

I am suffering from intermittent, but regular, interruptions to my Broadband supply. The provider says there have been no interruptions in service, which leads me to suspect that the Router may be defective. Is there anything I can place between the Fibre Optic Decoder and the Router to monitor the supply?

    :)

    Fibre Connection Issues

I live in a remote area and recently, when it became available, upgraded to a Fibre Broadband connection from a WiFi connection. Since the upgrade my browsers have had repeated initial failures to connect to websites which I didn't have with the WiFi connection, probelms which go away with a refresh or retry command. Why would this be? Can anyone suggest what has changed and what I could do to correct the problem.

  3. i have a problem to connect 2 monitors.

    Hi Ron,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    • What changes did you make in the BIOS? As making the changes in the BIOS is only recommended by Microsoft if done by the manufacturer.
    • How are you connecting to the 2nd monitor?
I suggest you to follow the steps from this article below:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows-8/how-connect-multiple-monitors

[Applies to Windows 10 as well]

    Regards.

    Fibre installation

Hi Lem, I followed what you suggested but "Filter Current" never showed up as you said....I fiddled around for a while and somehow found it, (don't ask me how) but when I click on 'Wininit' there's nothing there...!!

I disconnected my new fibre modem and my PC started much better...and on one of the warning boxes it referred to a problem with 'newly installed software'....well, the new fibre modem is the only 'new' software to be installed....

I took pics of the warning boxes do U want to see them...?
