Monitors just goes black out of nowhere today…

    Hello!

Woke up and booted my PC as usual and was browsing cyberspace on Chrome when both my monitors just goes black, I still got music playing in my headphones but I cant get the monitors to work so I turn off the PC using the power button, restart my PC and seems like there was an update today, figured something just glitched and continues to just browse around when the monitors turns black again…

Repeat the previous steps a few times and here I am, the problem keeps happening over and over again, monitors go black while I dont even really ”do anything” on the PC, it doesnt get too hot or something so my question is.. what could be the problem?

For being a PC gamer since like ’97 I’m like a fucking toddler when it comes to the tech side of things, could it be update related and if so, how do I fix it? Is it my old gtx 970 that is dying even if it worked fine just last night?

Never had a problem like this before so any help would be awesome, I’ill write down my PC speccs down below if that matters somewhat.

    • Corsair HX850
    • Asus ROG Strix Z390-F Gaming
    • GTX 970
    • i7 9700K
    • 16gb Corsair DDR4 3000MHz
    • 970 EVO 1TB M.2

    Thanks.

    Primary monitor randomly goes black

Got a monitor issue. Looked at other posts about this issue be could not find anything addressing my issue. Over the past few months, my primary monitor randomly (no pattern to the issue) goes black but the led shows it to still be working. Secondary monitor is working. Only way to get the primary back is to reboot the computer. I tried reversing the DVI-D cable but no luck, primary still goes black. Regardless of which monitor is set to primary, that is the monitor that goes black. The monitor set as secondary never goes black. Any ideas?

    My monitor goes black

You receive that error if the USB is in the incorrect port, it should go in the USB 1 port.

Monitor goes black after playing games

Lately, after I quit a game, it happens that the monitor goes black and goes basically in some kind of standby. It doesn't happen always (today it's just the second time that it happens), but I really don't understand what the problem could be. I cannot really tell even if it's just the monitor or the whole computer freezes, in fact, I've been forced to restart the pc using the button. Any help, please?
