  1. MONITORS TEMPORARILY SHRINK THEN RETURN TO NORMAL AS IF NEW PnP DEVICE ADDED EVERY 30 TO 40...

Using Win 11. Both monitors temporarily shrink as if another plug and play item was added to system every 30 to 40 minutes. No devices were added. I replaced both display port with new 8k cables but there was no change. Original cables were 16K capable. I have MSI G273 and LG Ultragear monitors. Also connected via HDMI to Samsung 65 inch television monitor that is not turned on. Samsung display does not show the "shrink" I have a brand new RTX 4070TIS runninng on a IBUYPOWER i9 GEN 3 SYSTEM. I am running the new creativity device driver set from nvidia just downloaded. This started happenin

Tap on Browse my computer for driver software

Tap on Let me pick from a list of available drivers

Choose ‘Generic PnP monitor’ and tap on Next

When you are done please restart the computer.

  3. Screen shrinks temporarily

    Hi Juan,

Welcome to Microsoft Community and thank you for posting your query.

To understand the issue better, please provide us more information.

    • What do you mean when you say ‘’I click on the screen or link’’? Please elaborate.

    • When you say ’’it temporarily shrinks’’ do you mean the size of the screen is decreasing g or the font and text?

    • What is the make and model of the computer and extended display monitor?

    • When you say ‘’ it temporarily shrinks for a few seconds’’ does it happen on the desktop or extended display monitor?
Awaiting your response for further assistance.

  4. MONITORS TEMPORARILY SHRINK THEN RETURN TO NORMAL AS IF NEW PnP DEVICE ADDED EVERY 30 TO 40...

    Screen shrinks temporarily

Every time I click on the screen or link, Win10 thinks I'm going to switch tabs so it temporarily shrinks for a few seconds then goes back to normal.

Currently running a laptop + monitor with extended display

    Cheers
