Windows 10: Monitors turn on by themselves I have my monitor off set to 5 mins. See below! Please help

I have the monitors set to sleep at 5 mins but not the computer. I set this in the windows settings. They turn off after 5 minutes of inactivity, with the computer still running and playing music in the background but then they turn on again. Following another 5 mins of inactivity, the monitors sleep without turning on until I move the mouse or hit a keyboard button. It's driving me crazy and I cannot figure out what is going on! Why do the monitors come back on and then stay off after the second 5 minutes?I updated all drivers and Bios but I still have this issue. I also set pwr to balanced

I suggest you to change the settings to Extended Monitor and check if it helps.

Please follow below steps:

• Right Click any ware of the Desktop, and launch Personalization.
• Go to dual monitor settings under personalization, and change it Extended Monitor.

My workaround is to use PowerPoint Screen Recorder but this need additional screen capture.

The reason for Screen Recorder is Windows 10 Mouse Cursor for Office Menu item disappear when select Screen Capture App. It is cumbersome to show Tech Support what is selected on Office App on captured screen...

No display on monitor when TV set as primary display

Issue solved

Removed DVI/HDMI cable from computer and monitor

Step 1: Check if the VGA monitor cable is defective.

1. Turn off computer
   
2. Connect the monitor VGA cable from the monitor to the VGA port on the computer
   
3. Turn on computer, VGA monitor cable is good.
   
   Step 2: Tun off computer
   

1. Connect HDMI Cable to HDMI port and TV
   
2. Turn on computer and TV, there is no monitor black screen
   
3. Click on the Windows logo, select the Settings icon , and then select
   
   System. Under Display there are two squares, labeled 1 and 2
   
   D Click on Advanced Display Settings:
   
   Display information: Display 1- Monitor Display 2 -TV
   
   E Right-click the Speakers icon in
   the taskbar, select Sound, click on Playback devices,
