Windows 10: More 1803 probs Page fault on video smart audio drivers

Foxconn H67 intel board with i7-2600 with Nvidia GTX560 graphics card.

Upgrade from 1709 to 1803 we now unable to boot due to page fault. Will boot into safe mode.

Chkdsk and SFC run with no solution.

Device manager shows many nvidia audio problems.

When we remove the graphics card the system boots but also shows one audio issues with the onboard audio (there is a windows update for graphics/audio, but made no difference, no other updates available).

In safe mode we upgraded the nvidia graphics driver, and rebooted. Still doesn't boot but with a different error "video scheduler internal error".

In my experience in computer repairs, Windows 10 1803 is the worst version of Windows I've had the displeasure to work with, and I'm going back to the early 1990's with Windows 1.0! So many problems (and rebuilds).

Microsoft do need to review the Windows 10 upgrade process, it isn't robust and is doing more harm than creating usable benefits.

Method 1: Run the Playing Audio Troubleshooter.

This troubleshooter is an automated Windows 10 inbuilt tool which finds and fixes the common issues with the Playing Audio settings. Perform these steps to run this tool and check if that helps.



1. Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

2. Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.

3. Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.

4. Run the playing Audio troubleshooter.

Method2: If the issue persists uninstall and reinstall the smart audio driver and check if that helps.

• Press Windows Key + R, type devmgmt.msc and press enter.
• Search for the Conexant High Definition SmartAudio Drivers, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”.
  
• On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers from the computer.
  
• Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and the restart the computer if prompted.
  

Once you restart the computer, install the latest version of the Conexant High Definition Smart Audio Drivers from the manufacturer’s website and check the issue.

Everyone that post ids, need just do these steps and you will be good. I kinda tired of keep on uploading the inf. file

1.Go Open up device manager
2. Go under sound,video, and game controllers
3. Find Realtek High Definition Audio
4. Right click and hit update driver
5. Browse my computer for driver software
6. Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
7. Click Have Disk and hit browse
8. Click on the Realtek HD Audio mod folder and look for win64
9. Click on the HDXRT4 and click ok,
10. Click Next and Yes
additional if you want dts audio and others, install it now before next step.
After it is done, restart the PC

You should be good then and also make sure before doing these steps that you have driver enforcement disabled.

 

Audio & Video grind to a halt

• Which program are you using to play the audios and videos?
• Did you try using DVD app?

This issue might be due to incorrect or outdated drivers installed on your system. Let's try the below steps and check if it helps:

Step 1: I would suggest you to run
In-build Windows troubleshooter and check. Please follow these steps:

• Type troubleshooting in the search box on taskbar.
• Click troubleshooting in the search results.
• Click "View all" and then click "Playing Audio".
• Click "Next" and follow on-screen instructions.
• Now follow the same steps to run Video Playback
  troubleshooter.

Step 2: Update the Sound and Graphic drivers from Device manager and check:

Follow the steps to update drivers from the Device Manager:

1. Right click on Start button, select
Device Manager.

2. Find the drivers which needs to be installed and also see if there are any warning symbols. If yes update the drivers.

3. Right click on the Sound and Display adapter one by one and click on
Update driver.

Step 3: Install the latest drivers from the manufacturer website and check.
