Windows 10: More Homegroup Problems

Hi...

I created a home group on my desktop while I had windows 7 installed... (I can not remember the password)

Now after Upgrading to Windows 10 I can't access it... not from 1 of the PC's that were on this homegoup... none of us are on the homegroup, thus this Homegroup should have "Deleted" it self, but it did not. I can't find anyware where I can create a new home group ether.

I want to setup the printer sharing and printing over the network again, but can't because I am not part of this homegroup any more...

Please help!!!!!!!!!!

Home Groups with Windows 10

I have run both the suggested troubleshooters, more than once.

After I enter the password on my laptop it throws this:

HomeGroup encountered an error. Windows can't set up a homegroup on this computer.

I shows there is a homegroup available to join.

The troubleshooter for homegroups cannot find a problem and suggests to troubleshoot network.

That does not find an error either.

Any other ideas?

It's not Windows 10. It's your router. I had homegroup problem since I got Windows 10. For some reason I decided to change my Belkin router for Netgear router and since then I have no problem with homegroup any more

 

Found a solution to my problem

I had to link my Microsoft account with my administrator account. now I can access it all and it seems like the problem is fixed now
