Windows 10: More memory issues...

Looks like it wasn't fixed. After a few days of replacing the ram with a sixteen gig model, I was using 91 percent of it, idle.

I have a question. I can't find "my storage" folder anymore. and when i check my phone memory. it's completely down to 0000mb. what happened? I didnt even save any songs or movies on the phone. Please and thank you!

If you have a device with a removal able storage card. Then eject it and reinsert it. This has happened a couple of times with me, on an old Windows Mobile 5 device.

Memory leak? See my post #5 and try researching the topic on the forum, and post #13. Have you attempted to follow those diagnostic suggestions?

Smell something burning is a "HUGE" problem. We are unable to give a lot of help because we are not there.

Visually check the ram and motherboard for any signs of what is causing the burn smell.
You might have to use a magnifying glass. Normally once something like this happens you have a bigger problem that cost a lot to fix/replace things.

Two things:
Memory leak thing:

this is taken when my usage is about 30 idle. Will post when it is at 90 later.
RAM and Motherboard analysis: The ram had a chip where it was black and burnt. The motherboard showed no signs of burning, and the new ram showed no burn marks around anything.

Did you take your trace with "Heap Usage" and "VirtualAlloc usage" providers ?

If not you have to take another trace with these providers enabled, we need to see what's happening with memory allocation...

There is not enough data recorded data to be certain, but there is some interesting stuff happening in the first trace ;

when the Memory usage increase we see at the same time high disk usage!

this disk usage is caused by svchost.exe (10812) which is reading inside "C:\Program Files (x86)" folder ! it seems that this process is downloading and installing something (see the CPU sampled graph call stacks).

on the web many users talk about Steam causing memory leaks.
PSA: Don't enable the Steam Overlay layer - it causes memory leaks when recreating swapchains : vulkan

As a test you can uninstall steam and see if there is any improvement !
