More pager in cmd is not working properly at the --More-- prompt. Each key I am pressing works as spacebar and displays the next screen of output.

Upgrade to Mango, but Pager number not listed under People

I have an LG E-900 which I have updated to Windows Phone 7.5 (7.10.7720.68), on Starhub in Singapore

I have a Mobile number listed for most contacts as well as a pager number, which is the same number without a local dialing code, eg mobile is 01844 1234 123456, and pager is +44 1234 123456. I need both numbers, if I am abroad I have to use the pager number
(also for sending SMS's) otherwise I have to use the mobile number.

The Pager number isn't listed under the details for the person, so I cannot select it to send an SMS or call.

If I edit the Contact the Pager number is editable, so the details are on the phone but just doesn't appear. Additionally if I edit the number the save is changed but still doesn't appear as a number for the contact.

I have tried to delete the contact and re-enter all the details but that still didn't work.

Any suggestions to make the Pager number visible. All the contacts are sync with a Exchange Outlook.

Upgrade to Mango, but Pager number not listed under People

    Julie,

I agree the two methods listed above are the only way to send an SMS to an pager number, and this I have got used to.

BUT - When using option 2 , as you descrtibe, the pager number is not displayed as an option, after the upgrade, when previously it was selectable.

As I said I think this is because the phone thinks the mobile and pager number are too similar so doesn't display the pager number when there is a difference in the numbers stored, as sandeepjr points out some of the numbers have a prefix for reduced international
    calling.

Upgrade to Mango, but Pager number not listed under People

Windows Phone only provides/syncs one Mobile Phone field per contact record. You can initiate text messages by:

    • Opening up a contact record and selecting the text option, which will only allow you to send a text via the number stored in the Mobile Phone field or
    • Opening up the Messaging application and select the Contact(s) to send the text message to (by tapping the + just to the far right of the TO field).

I was mistaken when I stated that the Pager Phone field is not synced to windows phone. The Pager Phone field is synced to windows phone, but if you want to initiate a text message to the number that is stored in the Pager Number field, you won't be able to
do it from the Contact (number 1 above). Instead you'll need to open up the Messaging application, select the + sign to the far right of the TO: field, navigate to the Contact and then you can select the Pager Phone field as the number to use (number 2 above).

If you want to initiate a text message from a Contact (number 1 above) to the number that is currently stored in the Pager Number field, you would need to create a 2nd contact, link it to the original contact, and store the number in the 2nd contact Mobile
    Phone field.

This is how it has always worked with Windows Phone and the Mango update did not change anything in regards to this limitation.
