    Hi All,This problem has me stumped for at least the last few years now.Whenever I need to run Task manager, as soon as it's window shows up on the desktop, all other interaction with the desktop icons and or other open windows on the desktop is blocked.It has always been through all previous versions of Windows; 95 and up! that as soon as you click in another window or another desktop icon, the Task manager window happily retreated to the background ie. allowed the other action to take place.Now,, it will still allow you to click a taskbar icon to start an app or, when another app is alr

    GUI Issue - Windows 7

    No GUI means no start menu and desktop icons? That usually means explorer.exe isn't running. Hit ctrl+alt+del, open the Task Manager, and see if explorer.exe is in the processes list. If not, go to File -> New Task and enter the following: C:\Windows\explorer.exe

    Remove Linux Desktop Icons

    I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.
