Windows 10: Most of my photos in OneDrive albums has disappeared

Most of my photos in OneDrive albums has disappeared. The last time i have accessed to them was in 2021, on my old laptop. My photos and album are posted/upload in OneDrive from my phone/old laptop since 2009-2015 some albums were created on the old Windows Live and then it stopped backing up since it is full in 2015. The photos n album can still be accessed when i log into my windows n sync to my old laptop that i used since 2014 till 2021. Now that I logged into my new laptop end of 2021, all album still available but only a few albums have photos, while most of the album become empty fold

Photos made into Albums disappear from collection

I use MS Photos to upload from my android camera and to sort and edit them. They are stored in OneDrive files in monthly folders. If I create an album of these, they disappear from the chronological files both in the Collection section of Photos and from the File Explorer tree. I find handy when looking back to past dates to locate them both ways. Where are these photos stored once they go into an Album and why must they be erased from the OneDrive and File Explorer tree?

Onedrive Photo Albums - Can't sort photos within Albums, Can't Sort by Albums when trying to find

The Album feature in OneDrive Photos really sucks. Here are MAJOR missing features:

1.) Ability to Sort photos within an Album. When I share an album with someone or if I look at an album myself, those photos are presented in only one default sort.

2.) Ability to Sort Albums when trying to find an Album. Currently all we get is a list of Albums in seemingly descending chronological order. I have over 100 albums. Finding an Album is very, very difficult. I can't even search for an Album title.

3.) Ability to Sort Albums when trying to add a photo to an Album using the "Add to Album" function. Right now, if I try to add a photo or many photos to an existing album, I can't easily find the album because they are presented to me in descending chronological order. Also, because I have many albums, I am noticing that some of them are not even listed when using this function.

4.) on a sidenote, the "Favorites" function within OneDrive Photos also sucks. I had favorited a number of photos and apparently all of that hard work has disappeared. I had to start from scratch. Also the favorites tagged in OneDrive do NOT sync with those in the PHOTOS app in Windows 11.

OneDrive Photo Albums are missing in Camera Roll

Out of nowhere, the photo albums on OneDrive are gone from the Camera Roll (is it still called that?).

I have a Nokia 822 on Verizon, and am running WP8.1 DP w/Black. Just about a week ago, I clicked on the Photos Live Tile, and slid to the left to select Albums. I have the following Albums listed:

Camera Roll

Facebook Beta

OneDrive

I am able to successfully view pictures in the Camera Roll and Facebook Beta albums. However, when choosing OneDrive, I see the following folders:

Camera Roll

OneDrive Albums

Recent Pictures

Saved Pictures

Shared with Me

Camera Roll on OneDrive.com shows a few dozen pictures in the album (as does the OneDrive app for WP8.1), but it is showing nothing on the phone. Recent Photos brings up a hundred or so pictures and videos (BTW- can this information be cleared?). When I
click on OneDrive Albums, the only pictures I see are a couple that are in the OneDrive root directory. No other albums are listed not do I see any way to look for them.

Again, I want to note that the OneDrive app on the phone AND the OneDrive.com website in IE11 on the desktop, EACH work correctly, displaying all photos and albums. I am talking about not being able to view OneDrive albums from the Photos app on the phone.
