Windows 10: Most recent Windows update messed with my modded game files and I can't download anything

Ever since I updated Windows, the mods for my games have been "corrupted." The quotations are because I checked the mod folders, and all of my mods are where they're supposed to be and seem untouched. However, for some reason, it's as if Windows isn't reading them correctly on the first run because I get an error code as if the file doesn't exist or it's corrupted/broken, but when I run the game a second time, it works just fine. Every game on my PC that I have modded has been messed with, and it's the same process where I have to run the game twice for the mods to work correctly. I also can't

or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.

 

Trouble with mods for games

It is a long shot but while you suspect it is a firewall-related issue, please refer to this link to guide you on how you can enable access through the firewall

If this does not work, I suggest reinstalling the game and mods again, I'm not much of a gamer right now but back then when I used to play games and install mods sometimes I get these issues too so the best solution was to reinstall everything step by step, before that I make sure to uninstall everything and delete all files related to the games or mods.

Note some mods need a basic version of mods to function, it is like an update to the mods so to speak

that's all off already dude lol, I'm really surprised there is no fix for the recent files list/MRU in the file menu of programs haha

I appreciate the help, MS really needs to implement a Group Policy or a string that can do that for all programs installed
