Windows 10: Motherboard support for bootable M.2 NVME SSD

I have a Supermicro C7Q67 motherboard with 2 HDDs and 24GB Ram. I decided to find some hardware component(s) to improve the overall performance of this system. After some looking, I decided on a Vantec M.2 NVME PCIe X4 adapter and a 500GB M.2 NVME SSD to provide the performance boost. The M.2 SSD simply plugs into the adapter, which plugs into the X4 PCIe slot on the motherboard. I booted the system with the new hardware installed and then used Macrium to clone my Windows 10 (ver 2004) system onto the NVME SSD. The cloning completed successfully. After checking the SSD, I decided that it was time to check out how quickly the system would boot. I decided to disconnect the two HDDs before attempting the boot from the SSD. I pressed the power-on button and unfortunately the result was a blinking cursor - no Windows 10. So, I rebooted the PC and entered the Aptio Bios utility. I tabbed over to the 'Boot' tab and checked the Boot Options priority section and found no evidence that the new hardware was recognized. I checked the Hard Drives list - it contained a blank list. I know that the motherboard is fairly old (11 years), but because I was able to access the SSD to perform the cloning of Windows 10 onto the SSD previously, I thought that booting from the SSD would happen. Before the cloning, I did check the Device Manager and saw that a Standard NVM Controller was present under Storage Controllers and Windows Disk Management saw it as disk. So, under this computer platform, will I be able to use this SSD as a boot device ?

intel optane memory M10(16,32,64gb)PCIe NVMe M.2 3.0x2 was for accelerating 2.5'SATA mechanical HDD regardless of which generation intel CPUs.

also note :

not talking about Intel® Optane™ Memory H10 with Solid State Storage (32gb+1tb, 32gb+512gb ,16gb+256gb)PCIe NVMe3.0x4 that comes as a single m.2 drive which is mounted on single m.2 slot

but now why

intel optane memory M15(16,32,64gb)(PCIe NVMe 3.0 x4)is-- paired with --PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSDs {which is mounted on two differnt m.2 slots on 7th ,8th and 9th gen intel CPUs}

what is the purpose

ex: 512 GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD + Intel® Optane™ memory 32 GB on (Intel® Core™ i7 9750H) seen from HPs Omen X 2S - 15 Gaming Laptop.

 

My Samsung 970 EVO 2TB NVMe m.2 ssd not being detected in BIOS

I am having problems with the Samsung 970 EVO 2TB NVMe m.2 ssd and it not being detected in BIOS. I recently had to submit my motherboard in RMA for repairs and the drive was working perfectly before, but now it's not being detected. I receive this code
in "Secure Erase" in ASUS BIOS: SMNVMeROM

I have an ASUS ROG RAMPAGE VI OMEGA x299 motherboard and I have 2 other NVMe m.2 drives that do work on the motherboards m.2 slots, and in the dimm.2 adapter slot. It's just that the 970 EVO had my operating system on it, and I'm confused by what SMNVMeROM
means. Did it turn into a ROM file? Should I try putting an operating system on one of the working m.2 drives, to see if I can access the m.2 drive in question(windows disk management)? ASUS wasn't able to help me out in terms of tech. support.

M.2 NVME SSD No longer detected by motherboard

I bought a Crucial P1 1TB nvme ssd and installed it on to my motherboard, booted into windows, created new simple volume and copied all my stuff into it, everything's great. I turn off my pc and turn it on the next day and the drive is missing, I thought huh, maybe the connection is lose or something, so I take it out and plug it back in, turned on the computer and the drive is back with all my stuff. Then I turn the pc off and on again and the drive is missing again! I go into bios and there it says no nvme drive detected. What is happening, why is my drive no longer being detected?

I'm on the latest bios version.

My drive order:

1. 250gb ssd (OS)

2. WD 1TB

3. Seagate 2TB

4. nvme ssd

Also to mention I configured the nvme to gpt if it matters, I think my other drives are mbr.
